You need to consider the whole picture. Some hotels that advertise low prices actually charge you extra things that come with the hotel package in other hotels. For example, low-price advertised hotels may tack on extra fees such as internet fees, parking fees, etc. They also may be located too far out of the way from tourist attractions to be convenient or cost-efficient. 2—When reviewing stealer deals and packages, read the fine print and call customer service to ask lots of questions. Find out if there are any additional fees. If you ask directly, they will let you know. Typically the best time to travel to San Diego is in the off-season. This includes the months of October, November, January, February, and March. During these times you should really be able to secure better prices.

3—Instead of buying tickets for each tourist attraction, looking into city passes or organizations that offer passes that cover multiple locations, such as a visit to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. The Visitor Center conducts free guided tours on Friday afternoons and there are free Sunday organ concerts. The museums also offer free entrance on Tuesdays on a rotating basis. With so much to see and experience, you won’t want to miss out.

4—La Jolla. This is a quaint, romantic town by the sea. Although the shops are expensive, window-shopping and gallery gazing are enough to feast your eyes. It is an unforgettable experience and you will love the views and seeing the tide pools.

5—ARCO Olympic Center is a great place for sports buffs to watch their favorite Olympic athletes train. Come see what sweat and energy has to go into those gold medal Olympic performances.

Traveling Through the San Diego Airport

The San Diego airport has three terminals that serve over 17 million passengers each year. The airport is decorated with interesting art displays and is a beautiful facility. The airport is designed to make traveling easy and comfortable. This is one of the most user-friendly airports in the country.

To provide excellent customer service, the airport offers terminal maps that you can download from your computer. To prepare travelers to maneuver quickly through the airport, there are several online video tours. These tours provide you an inside look at the airport before you arrive.

The airport has several passenger services and has over 33 places to eat. Unique features of the airport include access to Text Telephones and a Visual Paging service. The Text Telephones are placed throughout the terminals for easy access and convenience. You can use the visual paging service by using white courtesy phones throughout the terminals or you can speak to one of the many Airport Ambassadors. The visual paging monitors are located in convenient and well-marked locations.

If you need to travel between terminals, the airport offers a free shuttle that runs every ten minutes. All the shuttles are easily accessible for those in wheelchairs. There are also several off-airport shuttles you can use to get to your hotel or rental car agency. There are several courtesy phones you can use to call your car rental agency for shuttle service. However, the shuttles run frequently and you are likely to find a shuttle waiting at the terminals.

If you need a taxicab, you simply go to the transportation plaza and a Transportation Coordinator will get you the next available cab. The Transportation Coordinator will also assist you if you need to use public transportation.

Enjoyable Sites to Visit in Downtown San Diego

Downtown San Diego contains a number of attractions and numerous activities. You can plan to spend the day in the heart of downtown. The first item on your agenda should be to ride the ferry to Coronado.

You will enjoy a 15-minute ferry ride across the beautiful San Diego Bay to the Coronado Ferry Landing. The Coronado Landing is large market on San Diego Bay‘s waterfront. The Ferry makes runs back and forth every half hour.

You can visit the Medea which is a 100 year old steam ship built from steel, oak and teak. One of the tourist favorites is the Star of India, which is the oldest sailing ship in use in the World.

To top the day off, you can take a cruise around San Diego Bay. The Hornblower cruises last around three hours and you can enjoy a delicious buffet style meal. You can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery of San Diego Bay. The cruises are great for families, groups of friends or even a romantic date.

Downtown San Diego offers many unique and fun activities. You do not have to worry about driving and travel time. Most activities are within walking distance of each other. There are several trolley cars that run through downtown and you can easily make use of them instead of driving. This is a great way to spend a relaxing day in San Diego.
